This course explores the use of a dark therapy space as a medium to treat children with specific disorders. The course looks at the benefits of a "dark therapy session" as well as provides each learner with specific examples that can be used or adapted in the clinical setting. This entry-level to intermediate course is appropriate for occupational, physical, and speech therapists and assistants.

Criteria for Passing: Each learner must complete all learning activities/handouts and pass a final exam to receive credit.
By the end of this course, each learner will be able to:
- Identify and discuss at least seven benefits to treating a pediatric client in a dark setting.
- Discuss at least three different treatment strategies to use in the dark.
- Understand the importance of safety when working in the dark and how to provide a safe treatment setting.
- Identify pediatric clients who may benefit from a dark therapy session.
